About this deal
In September 2005, she joined BBC Radio 1 to present the Friday early morning slot with Reggie Yates, with whom she had previously worked on CBBC, Only in America and Top of the Pops. Since 14 October 2007, Cotton and Yates presented BBC Radio 1's Chart Show, taking over from JK & Joel, who had left the station. Cotton then became the first ever permanent female presenter of a BBC radio chart show. ( Jo Whiley had preceded her as the first female presenter of The Official UK Top 40, as it was then called, but presented it only once, on 24 November 2002.)
In 2007, Cotton became the first regular female presenter of the Radio 1 Chart Show, which she co-presented with Reggie Yates for two years. She went on to present her own Radio 1 show, airing every weekday morning from 2009 to 2015. She joined BBC Radio 2 in 2016. I found myself being much more intrigued about things like Enneagrams (which I hadn’t heard of before and have since explored further) and signs. I haven’t read ‘The Secret’ but the author is interviewed and so fans of Rhonda Byrne will no doubt enjoy their discussion.
There are many different ways we can connect with ourselves some traditional ways include meditation, yoga, astrology, crystal healing and prayer (not just religious). However other less obvious ways include having a cup of tea, listening to music, exercise, getting out in nature, crafting, cleaning, practicing gratitude, posting positive content on socials and other great habits. We all have our own ways of finding contentment in the world. However embarking on a new idea can sometimes give us a sense of being an imposter because we don’t recognise ourselves in that particular way, let me tell you, you can be anything … you don’t have to be an expert to start something new! An enthusiastic cook, Fearne released her first cookbook in June 2016: Cook Happy, Cook Health. Her next book, Happy, talks about her own experiences of happiness (including some of the not-so-happy ones), and was published February 2017. Fearne's third book, Cook. Eat. Love, was published in June 2017.

This was such a soothing read and one that I really enjoyed cosying up in bed and reading. It felt so validating and real, and was really enlightening. A definite recommend if you find yourself needing to find you again and learn to make space for yourself. A true gem of a book!
Whether you believe in the supernatural or not, are avidly against it or a true believer, this book is still for everyone. As a scientist, I did struggle with some aspects as I am a super critical and empirical evidence based person so it can be hard to get out of my own head at times. My own fault entirely!Cotton is the voice over of the Tesco Mobile adverts since late 2020. She also became the voice over of the On the Beach radio adverts in 2022. If you want to be educated and enlightened, please read this! Have an open mind, and stop resisting that there’s so much out there with more power than us. So much out there is simply bigger than us.
